My absolute favorite thing is the VERY FIRST jadeite piece I have found while thrifting….TA DA!!

A Jane Ray Fire King platter, bundled up with 3 other platters, I almost slept with it under my pillow! I found an absolute ton of Pyrex this weekend:

I found a really cool lime green pyrex casserole, and John spotted a whole set of unused Tupperware tumblers.

I felt so bad when I saw this Termocrisa Mom mug, that sells for $15 minimum, for sale for 25 cents, that I gave her a dollar.

My second favorite thing from the weekend was this set of Fire King restaurant china that I got for $3!!

Weekly Junk Report…November 12, 2012

Last week was a horrible shopping week for me…but this week made up for it! This week I went to Goodwill, Miracle Hill, the flea market, and an estate sale, and came away with some great stuff! There are quite a few things I am keeping, but most will be going to my booth.

I really like this tool caddy I found, and the old tools and oil cans are great.

20121112-083949.jpg
As usual, I loaded up on vintage dishes and kitchen collectibles. I found some vintage Glasbake, a divided casserole and a chili bowl, and John found the old metal school bus.

20121112-084130.jpg
I LOVE the old Cunningham Pickett Spring Violet China I found…6 plates and a cake plate. I adore my Fire King deviled egg plate.

We found this old wire bottle carrier.

Here is one of my favorites from the weekend…a $1 chair!

I know it isn’t really old, but for $6 my cow portrait is a real steal!

Here is the 1920’s Royal typewriter we found…

20121112-084718.jpg
John is hoping I will be using the vintage 1965 Tupperware pastry sheet to make some biscuits!

20121112-084804.jpg
It is really hard to find Pyrex with the matching lid…

We found some old Victorian pictures…

I found my first pink Pyrex! With a lid!

20121112-085022.jpg
I got a milk glass bubble bowl, a yellow depression glass bowl, and some more vintage china serving bowls…

20121112-085133.jpg
I really like these rolling pins, carved out of one piece of wood. Again, John is dreaming of biscuits!

20121112-085222.jpg
This desk is great, if a bit too teal for me! I have to figure out what to do with it.

20121112-085305.jpg
This is an old stand that came out of an old mill…it has a locking drawer and a door with shelves in the bottom…I love pieces like this!

It was a great week!

Moving Update…November 5, 2012

I went over to the house this morning with the hubby and he took a ton of new pictures. The link to the pictures is here on Flickr.

This is what the third floor looks like now! The rooms are braced, and the third floor is ready to be cut into three pieces and loaded on a truck! Here is where they have the cut lines marked:
Here is the view from Cooper’s room on the third floor, down the shaft where the fireplace was, four stories down into the cellar:
Here are views of the second floor master, which is braced with metal, not lumber, like on the third floor:
This is the view from the top landing:
This is the view up the back staircase:
Here is the front hall:
Here is a picture taken from the parlor, looking into the library and dining room:
This was taken in the kitchen, looking out in to the back hall, with the butler’s pantry to the right:

I am so excited! Almost time to load it on the truck!
